So. Baru aja gw nonton film ini kemaren. Kenapa gw ntn film ini? Karena, posternya. Yup, (tapi bukan yang gw pasang di atas). Poster filmnya yang dipenuhi oleh kata2 para kritikus. Gw kemaren lagi bosen dan kepengen banget ntn film, as in yang di bioskop gitu, jadi gw liat di website 21 dan ada film ini dan off I go nonton Whiplash kemaren.
The first thing ever that amazes me itu adalah, TERNYATA THAT ABUSSIVE TEACHER/CONDUCTOR di film ini tuh jadi si bos daily bugle yang super nyebeli dan rese parah di spiderman installment itu -_- ngeselin parah! It seems wayy and super intimidating an a whole lot creepier in this movie. Long story short film ini tentang this 19 yr old guy named Andrew who's attending one of new york best' music school (a fictional one btw) called Shaffer Conservatory in New York.. And he ended up taking the class of one the most intimidating conductor ever (who's btw very much an abusive one, both emotionally and physically). And yup.. well Andrew strives to be the best in Fletcher's eyes even if he has to go beyond his limits. Jadi begitulah kira2 inti ceritanya.
Sudah suatu kebiasaan buat gw setiap kali gw selesai ntn film pasti gw selalu nglit trivianya di IMDB..Penasaran sama behind the scenes dari beberapa scene yang membuat gw sampe menganga. lebar. There's this one particular scene which just BLEW MY MIND anyway. And in case your wondering, those slaps were real. Uh-maze-balls. And of coures FYI, JK Simmons won an Oscar for his performance in Whiplash as Best Supporting Actor. Kinda got me wondered juga sih why Miles Teller didn't get nominated, but after taking a second look on the best actor list.. ya berat juga sih saingannya, ada yang acitingnya emang lebih KEREN lagi, as you know, pemenang Oscar buat best actor goes to Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawking in the movie The Theory Of Everything. Well if ur comparing it with Miles Teller in Whiplash.. jelas kalah. Secara dari segi film nya aja udah keliatan bobotnya lebih BERAT The Theory Of Everything. Oh back to the main idea of this paragraph.. So this is the scene I'm talking about:
Gila! Ntah kenapa gw ntnnya sampe meneteskan air mata gitu. Ga ngerti juga sih kenapa. Is it because how intimidating fletcher was? Or how I pitied Andrew? So apparenly "Quite not my tempo" becomes a pretty popular catchphrase from this movie. Gw literallly amazed, Terrence Fletcher is one of the most bad-ass and intimidating character ever written. Well dr trailer sih udah keliatan ya, the bold hair-do and the all-black clothing attire kinda gives it away. HAHA. Kayaknya kalau dia berambut ga se-intimidating itu deh. (apa sih ini ga penting)
Oh ya btw, selipan, there's a really minor character di movie ini. Yes ini adalah cewek yang ceritanya jadi romance-interestnya si Andrew, tapi sumpah menurut gw it's not really necessary to include her in karena scenenya aja cuman sedikit and she didn't really make such a signficant difference throughout the whole plot story. WEll maybe the writer cuman mau point out kalo karatker Andrew disni bener2 mau mempertaruhkan segalanya dan bener2 totalitas dalam mendapatkan respectnya si Fletcher sampai2 dia mau ninggalin pacarnya. (But, wait, bukannya mereka ga sempet "pacaran" udah di "putusin" duluan?")Anyway, film ini menurut gw keren. Sorry kalo gw ga bisa memberikan kritik ala-ala professional, like what I always said, gw nulis blog ini for the sake of fun aja. For that one and only purpose. Honestly, gw bukan orang yang ngerti musik. Gw sama skali ga bisa main instrumen apa pun, jadi mungkin gw kurang bisa mendapatkan "feel"nya dari yang seharusnya kali ya, tapi tetep aja tuh ,ntah kenapa at the end of the film gw nangis sampe overwhelmed sendiri gitu. THE ENDING WAS TRULY BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN AND ACTED OUT. Agak ngegantung but it was the perfect closure for me lol
