You wanna know why I put it up here?

Just because.

So this is Ladies and Gentlemen. If there was a reward for "The Saddest Me Of All Time" than I would happily nominate this movie. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind is a magnificent masterpiece! Everything about it is great. I had the dvd since years ago but I finally got my hands on it this year.. and I was hooked. Watching it really hurts, like literally.

What's the story about this movie?
Long story short. There are 2 main characters in this movie. First is Jim Carrey (Joel) and Kate Winslet (Clementine). So one day the emotionally-drained Joel meets free spirit Clementine. Fast forward, they ended up seeing each other. Two very different personalits join forces to create this some sort of a beautiful undying love.  Everything was fine until one day after this huge fight and a few days of not calling each other, Joel decided to see Clementine at her work place. And turns out that Clementine didn't remember her. Joel thought she was faking it, or was she?

So it turns out that Clementine (this movie is also categorized as Sci-FI) undergo a surgery to erase her memories. Now the pretty much amusing part is that she ONLY erases her memories of Joel. Like, seriously? It couldn't get any better than this, right?

Soo akhirnya si Joel ini ngerasa sakit hati and dia akhirnya juga datengin perusahaan yang ngelakuin surgery ke Clementine ini because he would like to do the same thing. So it turns out.. during the process of erasing the memories, Joel sadar how much he loves her and even though she forgets about him and they don't belong together anymore.. he still wants to keep the memories, eventhough it hurts. So the rest of movies shows how Joel is trying to escape from the process.. because he was sleeping during the whole process and he couldn't alert the memory-eraser technician that he would like to stop.

This movie is just so  beautiful.  A really fresh idea and a kick in the gut.
Here's my favorite part :

Not gonna tell you what they're talking about but..
If u look closely the colors of the book starts to fade.. It's a sign that "that particular memory" is being erased.. so it started out with the books... BAGUS BANGET YA GILA! Cinematographynya bagus banget and the fact that this made waaay before all the cool effects were ever discovered makes this movie 100x even more cooler.

There's one other scene but it's kinda the ending scene so I'm not going to put it her since it's a spoiler :p. Trust me, you have to watch this movie. I literally felt numb.

Rasanya tuh... sedih.. kesel...shock...penasaran...seneng.. campur aduk jadi satu deh.
Kayak permen nano-nano. Ya.. rame rasanya.

This movie hurts in every way possible. It's an emotional rollercoaster ride.
